When I was young, my fondest memories revolve around my doll houses. I was lucky to have 2 toy houses when I was still young. The first was a gift from my parents when I turned four years old. It was a pink toy house with lots of cute accessories. as i was very young then, my mom would always tell me how I manage to disarrange all the furniture’s and I would ask her to return it to its original place. I also never want to touch it except my Mom but I love showing them to everyone even to my Dad’s friends even if it is in a state of disarray.
When my 10th birthday came, Aunt Leslie who just came from her Europe trip bought me a huge Victorian Dollhouse. It was big and grandiose and looks very expensive. I was really delighted and can’t hide my glee and you could observe it on my pictures on my 10th birthday party where my face was plastered with amazement and big wide smile. It is simply one of the best gifts that I have received in my whole life.
My mom and I adore my victorian dollhose kits. I love to show it off to my friends while it reminds my Mom of her travels abroad. It has the look of vintage 1800’s Victorian era design gingerbread and bric-a-brac woodworks. It looks really elegant and grandiose. It was like a family heirloom and a modern day Victorian dream house. It has eight rooms that are well-partitioned and designed. It looks like a real house mansion complete with charming features like a hanging chandelier, toilet lids that lifts, piano, tea sets, rocking horse and complete bed sets with head rest.
We decided it to enter into the toy fair competition for best looking doll house. My mom researched everything to make the designs that we are going to furnish it matches the rich English culture that seems to be embodied with my victorian dollhouse furniture. The porch, stairs and doors are beautifully handcrafted. The dolls included with it are also wooden. To make it look beautiful and elegant, we looked for furniture and designs that looks archaic. We added several tables, lamps and some mini paintings to complete the set. We also added several glass wares plastic furniture to make it even more real. Even the curtains we added are very rich looking fabric designed for a real Victorian style. To give more effect, we set some lights around the doll house. It was really so elegant looking.
My victorian dollhouse looked really amazing and it was admired by a lot of people. My mom and I were really proud of it. A lot of the people at the toy fair took pictures with my dollhouse. And at the end of the day, it won the top price as the Best Looking Dollhouse of the fair. It was really a great experience and I’m so proud to own this doll house.
